In the latest examples of how my favorite comedy — “How I Met Your Mother” — is veering dangerously close to “Will & Grace”-levels of celeb cameo oversaturation, Jennifer Lopez and Carrie Underwood will both be featured in episodes this March.

Carrie shows up on March 1 in an episode called “Hooked,” which has the gang reminiscing about dates that strung them along when the fear Tiffany (Underwood) is doing just that to Ted.

Then, the following week, my love J. Lo shows up as Anita, a self-help author who teams up with Robin to teach Barney a lesson about duping the opposite sex. I don’t know how the Barnacle will react, but based on the way she’s rocking that dress, me thinks he’ll clamp on to her bottom and never let go.

In a first look at Carrie Underwood’s guest-starring role on How I Met Your Mother, the country star puckers up and smooches a teacup pig!

Underwood, who donned a flight attendant’s uniform as part of her time on set playing Tiffany, an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep and love interest for Ted (played by Josh Radnor), wrote on her Web site that the pig pooped on her!

“I’m just glad I grew up on a farm,” Underwood said, “because I think I was the only one who knew how to hold and wasn’t afraid of a little piglet!”

In the episode, which is set to air in March, Radnor asks her, “Were you always this pretty?”

Underwood’s answer: “I was shy and awkward [in high school]. I was like 100 lbs. heavier and had these crazy buck teeth.”

“Seriously?” he asks.

“No, I’ve always been hot,” she says. “What are you going to do?”

When Radnor leans in for a kiss, Underwood stops him by saying, “Do you know who else would love this teacup pig … my boyfriend.”

How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays (8 p.m. EST) on CBS.

She can sing and she can look beautiful… but can Carrie Underwood act?

How I Met Your Mother viewers will be able to answer this question in a couple weeks, as the American Idol champion guest stars on “Hooked,” the sitcom’s next new episode. It airs on March 1.

Underwood will portray Tiffany, a woman suspected of stringing Ted along. Get an early look at the Grammy Award winner in a few How I Met Your Mother scenes below:

Carrie Underwood takes flight on “How I Met Your Mother.”

Neil Patrick Harris tweeted Wednesday (Jan. 20): “This week’s awesome guest star: http://yfrog.com/1dmarrj HIMYM – You’ll Love The Way We Fly!” and linked to a great photo of himself and guest star Carrie Underwood.

We do know that Carrie is playing Tiffany, a pharmaceutical sales rep and potential love interest for Ted. Barney says pharmaceutical sales reps, or Pharma Girls, have replaced nurses and stewardesses as the Official New Profession of Hot Chicks.
That explains Carrie’s flight attendant outfit. We wonder if she’ll also be dressed as a nurse in some kind of Barney fantasy. Either way, the “American Idol” fan in us is super excited for Carrie’s episode, scheduled to air sometime in March.
